About
UIndy Theatre
UIndy Theatre is the home of theatrical expression at the University of Indianapolis. It is part of the Department of Communication, which also houses UIndy Radio and TV as well as the student newspaper, The Reflector. UIndy Theatre puts on four shows a year. Students can, and are encouraged, to be a part of shows starting right in their freshman year. Area Theatre head, Grant Williams, PhD directs and coordinates the year's shows.
One show per year is a fully student-run show that often runs at IndyFringe in August. A show in February, the Artists' Showcase, is a highlight of theatrical talent open to all UIndy students. The other two shows are integrated into the Theatre curriculum, offering credit for whatever role - actor, designer, crew - in which a student wants to be involved.
